Bamboo and cork are wonderful, natural and renewable resources. Bamboo is not a tree but is in fact a grass and is one of the fastest growing plants in the world. Under the right conditions it can grow 3 feet in 24 hours meaning you can literally watch it grow before your eyee! This makes Bamboo highly sustainable as it can grow to full size within 3 to 4 months compared to traditional trees which take years or even decades. Bamboo forests have great benefits for the environment as they can efficiently absorb carbon dioxide at twice the rate of trees. They also generate a vast amount of oxygen, totalling up to 30% more than most plants and trees. Our bamboo products use bamboo from managed plantations.
