Product hints and tips

The instructions tell you what to have ready and what other items you will need before you start. Dental Chromatic Alginate is super safe for using on the youngest child or most delicate body part as it is designed for use in the mouth to take dental mouldings. It changes colour as you work it, telling you what stage you should be at from mixing to applying to setting. The Alginate is for making the mould only. After making the mould, your model must keep the mould in place on his/her face while you wrap it in Plaster Bandage. This is to freeze the mould shape otherwise it would just flatten out when taken off the face. Finally having secured the mould and removed it from the face, you then need to make a casting from your mould. To do this you need casting plaster which is supplied with this kit. Finally, You may also wish to paint your finished masterpiece. After making the casting let it dry thoroughly then paint with the supplied brialiant metallic paint. Then you can varnish your finished product if necessary. Varnish protects the finished product.
